Resizing images does not keep aspect-ratio
Ticket on Forge: https://forge.typo3.org/issues/62511
Author: Stefan Neufeind
Description:
Neither do images keep their aspect by default nor is there currently a way to turn this on optionally. Also pressing modifier-keys (Ctrl, ...) does not help to keep aspect-ratio.
While this seems to be a general problem with TinyMCE 4.x :-( there are some image-plugins that implement their own solutions for this. Currently the "typo3image"-plugin for TinyMCE also does not have a properties-dialoge for the inserted image - so we also can't have a "keep aspect-ratio"-checkbox below some width/height-parameters you enter there or something. Finding a fix for drag-n-drop-resizing would of course be best.

Some links:
an "advanced" image-plugin that also allows keeping aspect-ratio when changing width/height (seems it only keeps aspect when changing the size through the dialoge - no drag-n-drop mentioned): http://mobilaplus.kz/js/tinymce4/plugins/image/user_guide.html WordPress seems to have a solution (some changeset that touches TinyMCE image-resizing): https://core.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/27942 plugin for resizing; but seems not to work for 4.x (maybe with minor changes?): https://code.google.com/p/tinymce-plugin-advimagescale/

Hi Stefan,
thanks for this information. We will try to tackle the issue in the next version.
